City of Heroes Super Group established April 25, 2004
The Champions Super Group was founded on 'launch day' of the Superhero Based MMORPG 'City of Heroes' by a core group of dedicated gamers. This core group had been playing Superhero based RPG games (the pencil & paper kind) since about 1981. When there were rumors of a Superhero themed MMORPG in the works these gamers devoured any tidbit of information they could find on the subject & on one exciting day they were accepted into the Beta Trial of CoH. Enjoying the format and style of play in CoH this core group was hooked, they could play their favorite Superheroes again & distance was no longer a problem. During the 10 day pre-launch trial for betatesters, Champions was formed and dedicated to upholding justice and protecting the innocent in Paragon City.
