This page describes a ‘homegrown’ Warhammer 40k Universe battles campaign. The rules & guidelines provided here are inspired by or follow those described in the ‘Campaign in a Flash’ rules from Games Workshop. This campaign is intended to help new players learn the Warhammer 40k rules & game play strategies without requiring them to invest a lot of time or money, until they are ready to do so. We hope to have fun & explore this incredible game & hobby, without the strings attached in time/resources! As we become more involved & dedicated to the construction of larger armies we intend to grow the size & complexity of our battles & perhaps campaign to suit. Until then though… enjoy the battles, strategize on your army list & paint those models!

The world of October III is a changing, dangerous & mysterious place, now there are many powerful forces at work here. These forces are all trying to take what they can of this unusual planet all the while at odds with the other powers trapped with them. Who will best the others and claim themself master of October III? That is the real question about 'the Dark October' campaign, which commander will be victorious?

Background Information:
A Blood Angels battle barge is traveling through a seemingly empty solar system not marked for cleansing. Word gets back to the helm on one of the planets there has been hostile activity. Rumors abound and questions are raised. Could this planet be one step closer to a cure for the blood thirst? The commander of the vessel immediately demands a halt to the discussions of their curse. But never the less this could be another chance to claim victory for the glorious Emperor. Another invitation to satisfy their craving for blood? Either way if there are heretics on that planet we must do our rightful duties to purge the infected crust of that rock. The captain calls forth Brother Lavarius a space marine chaplain who is on the brink of overcoming his apatite for flesh and the red fluid that flows from it. Lavarius, the captains says sternly, you will bring glory to the Emperor on this day. The mutants and heretics that have taken up residence on this planet will know fear through your leadership of the Blood Angels. I want you to stop at nothing to cleanse this planet and claim it in the name of humanity. Lavarius looks dead into the eyes of his superior and states, oh they will brother, I will send them back to the gates of hell from whenst they came. I will gather my troops and lead them in prayer for a glorious battle!!! So be it. On this eve of battle we will pray for the Emperor's blessings.

Haranluune (in the imperial language blue cheiftan) Autarch of the Alaitoc scout forces found an ancient world that may have
been a maiden world. He decided to investigate for himself with his warhost. Upon entering through an ancient webway, his
forces found others were already here. These primitives must be expunged so that this Eldar world can be reclaimed.

Background Information:
The ongoing menace of Tyranid Hive Fleet invasions to the Galaxy of the Imperium of Man has reared a new tendril of fear & despair. Designated 'Hive Fleet: Devourer' by the Imperial Inquisitor who first discovered it, this new Hive Fleet appears to be coming from below the Galactic Plane, yet agian as 'Hive Fleet: Leviathan' did. Although originating from a similar extra-galactic direction as 'Hive Fleet: Leviathan', this new Hive Fleet proved impervious to the Norn Queen-virus & tactics of redirection used by Inquisitor Kryptman & the Death Watch, which succesfuly diverted 'Leviathan' to Ork inhabited space. Little is yet known about 'Devourer' but it can be assumed, as has been the case in the past, that what has been seen so far is only the tip of the fang for a new Tyranid invasion intent on consuming the hapless lifeforms of our galaxy..

Background Information:
The Imperium of Man is stirring once again. With the location of an inhabitable world by an Explorator fleet, a small battle fleet has arrived at the planet to claim it. However, this world has not gone unnoticed. The Eldar and Tau Empire have also come to claim this world for themselves. This motion has also drawn a new splinter fleet of the Hive Mind designated ‘Hive Fleet: Devourer’. With the unpredicted reaction of the atmosphere preventing any contact with their fleets in orbit, all the different forces immediately began fighting for territory. This fighting has caused the awakening of something monstrous. It was soon discovered that this planet is actually a tomb world. Space Marines who survived an initial Necron assault came to know them as ‘October III’. A new tomb world has awoken, bent on annihilating all life on the planet and the rest of this galaxy to feed the insatiable bloodlust of the C’tan.
